Stretching almost 700km through the heart of Africa, Lake Tanganyika borders four nations — Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Zambia. Along its shores live hundreds of thousands of people in fishing villages with almost no access to Bible-believing churches or Gospel witness.
TTN Ministries has partnered with Operation Mobilisation’s Good News Team to take the Gospel, medical care and education to these unreached communities — by boat, by canoe, and by faith.
We pull up to a village and people have never heard the name of Jesus. That is why we go.
— Chris Shadbolt, TTN Director
A Team, a Boat, and a Vision
Travelling by boat along the world’s second-deepest lake, the team visits isolated fishing communities, shares the Gospel, prays for the sick and distributes practical resources. Many of these villages have never been visited by missionaries.
Lake Tanganyika is one of the world’s great unreached mission fields, and TTN is committed to seeing every village along its shores reached with the message of hope and eternal life.
